Recent Beauty Purchases.

I haven't spent much on beauty products lately.. All of this was purchased over a couple of months and apart from this, I haven't bought anything else. I've been trying not to buy things just because everyone else is talking about them, as hard as that can be sometimes!!

L'Oreal Skin Perfection.. 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution and Cleansing & Perfecting Milk.

I bought these when the products I was using (Asdas own brand) had almost run out.. Unfortunately I can't understand the hype! Yes, they're gentle.. But so gentle it doesn't take all the make up off is no good. I've used so many cotton wool pads trying to take every last bit of my make up off with these products but if I use my old one at the end, make up comes off! I don't know if it's cause I have large pores but I just can't get on with these products and won't be repurchasing.

Soap & Glory.. Foam Call, Sugar Crush and Clean Girls.

If you read my last post, you'd know I bought more Soap & Glory smellies. They were on 3 for 2 in Boots. Sugar Crush was a repurchase but I'd never tried the other 2. Foam Call is pepperminty fresh and I absolutely love it.. It kind of reminds me of a mans smell but in a good way. Clean Girls has a pearly looking effect and is really soft and smells girly and nice. I will definitely repurchase both!

Johnsons Baby Shampoo.

Warning! Warning! I may need to be issued with a slap on the wrist.. Prior to this stuff, I'd never washed my make up brushes.. Sorry!!! It may be worth noting I've only really got into make up the last couple of years and haven't used the same brushes the whole time. Still.. I will be keeping on top of them now, pinky promise.

Barry M.. Pomegranate, Guava, Blueberry and Fuchsia.

Anyone that knows me well, knows I love my nail polish. I can't get enough! Pomegranate and Blueberry have quickly become my favourites and I've flicked between the 2 since purchasing them. I don't see a lot of difference in the Gelly range compared to the other range personally but some of the colours are gorgeous.

Natural Collection.. Lash Definition Mascara in black, Moisture Shine lipstick in Pink Mallow and Raspberry.

I picked these up on a 3 for 2 as well. I'd originally gone into Boots for the Raspberry lipstick (not pictured - I couldn't find it at the time, sorry.. I'm sure you know what colour raspberries are though so that!) but as there was an offer on, I picked up another lippy and a mascara too. The lipsticks are very long lasting compared to any others I have and the colours are gorgeous - I must get more of these. The mascara isn't too bad - it suprised me, it's more of an every day mascara.. It separates lashes and lengthens them a little but doesn't really give much volume, hence saying it's more for every day.

Montagne Jeunesse.. Sauna Masque, Apricot Scrub, Tea Tree Face Spa, Super Fruit Mud, Dragon Fruit Sauna and Iced Crystal.

Who doesn't love Montagne Jeunesse face masks?! I love finding new ones to try out. So far out of these ones I've used Apricot Scrub which was ok, didn't seem to do as much as others I've tried and Super Fruit Mud which I loved and will definitely repurchase. I love that I could feel it working when I put it on and my skin felt so soft and my pores looked lovely and clean afterwards. Having big pores is such a pain in the arse but masks like this are such a saviour. I can't wait to try the others!

What have you been buying lately? xxx

Empties #1

Hi, I'm Tiffany and I hate using the last bit of products!
I'm actually terrible for it. If I use it, it's gone. Well, duh.. But I had so many products sitting about cause I started getting near the end and I'm like.. I don't wanna use it so I buy something else to use. Does anyone know what I'm on about or am I just a bit of a loon?! Either way, I've been trying to be good and started using things up to get rid of them! I'm going to try and be a bit better from now on, promise! I've split the bathroom products from my make up type products, so that will come in the next empties post.

Empties empty products Charles Worthington Soap & Glory Tigi

Charles Worthington - Strength & Repair Shampoo.
I done a review of this here. I'm on my 3rd bottle and have 2 more to use afterwards so as you can probably imagine, I really like this stuff! It makes my hair feel more like human hair than horse hair and it smells amazing. Would I repurchase? Already have so yes!

Charles Worthington Takeaways - Frizz Free Shampoo.
Aww RIP old CW range! This used to be one of my favourites and I just used the last of this *sob* Also made my hair feel nice and smelt good, although the new range does smell even better, if that's possible. Would I repurchase? If I could, yes.

Superdrug - Coconut & Sweet Almond Shampoo.
This stuff smells amazing.. Mmmmm coconut! It's also quite cheap.. That's where the good points end though unfortunately. It's meant to be for dry and damaged hair but it stripped my hair and made it feel so dry. I could tell as I washed it out and my hands wouldn't glide through my hair, that I'd need to plonk a shit load of moisturey type conditioner stuff on to make up for it. Would I repurchase? Never.

Soap & Glory - Scrub Your Nose In It.
I rather enjoyed scrubbing my nose in this product. I always used it at the end of a hot shower and I've definitely noticed a difference in my skin since I used it up, not in a good way. I didn't love the smell but it is a nice product that works well. Would I repurchase? Maybe. It's gone up in price and I'm thinking I could probably get something just as effective for cheaper. Any suggestions?

Soap & Glory - Clean On Me Shower Gel.
I didn't hate this product.. But I didn't love it either. I found it kind of boring for a Soap & Glory product. I used it cause I had it, not cause I loved it and wanted to, if you know what I mean? The smell was nice but nothing to shout about, unlike the new ones I bought (post coming up). Would I repurchase? Not this particular one, no.

Soap & Glory - Sugar Crush Body Wash.
This is my cup of tea for sure. I love sweet smells so it was always going to be a winner for me! I do think it's more of a summery scent but I purchased another one so it will get used in between others over Autumn/Winter, just not as much. I do really like it though. Mmmmm :) Would I repurchase? I have, so yes.

Tigi Catwalk - Oatmeal & Honey Shampoo.
Oh, Tigi.. WHY did you have to discontinue my favourite shampoo? When I heard this was discontinued I was absolutely gutted. I loved this stuff; It smelled amazing! I found it in B&M Bargains a few months back and had to have it.. When it started running out, I went back for more and it was gone again :'( I might try some different Tigi shampoos once I've used up my CW ones though. Would I repurchase? If I could, definitely yes.

What's your most repurchased product? xxx

Wishlist Wednesday

As you may know if you read my ramblings, I have a new job - yay! - and since getting this fantastic news, my wishlist has been getting longer and longer and longer... Uh oh! - I don't start until next week so won't be getting any pennies just yet but it doesn't stop me lusting after nearly everything I come across at the moment, I'm terrible! Here's what I'm loving/wanting right now..

George Asda
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6

George at Asda has had some really nice pieces this year (either that or my taste has changed!) and this isn't a good thing when you're living on one wage and do your food shopping there!! - Walking past all the nice clothes and not being able to buy anything.. Soon it will be walking TO all the nice clothes and not being able to NOT buy anything.. I'm not sure which is better, haha! 98% of my wardrobe has nearly always been New Look clothes (and 100% New Look hangers from all my online orders!) but I do find myself picking more things up from other places now too.. Especially since more and more places seem to be catering for those of us who like their food! ;)

Where do most of your clothes come from? xxx

The Autumn Tag

The Autumn Tag

I've seen a few different autumn tags floating about and anyone that knows me will know I love filling in things like this so I thought why the heck not! Let me know if you do/have done one of these, I'd love to read it :)

Favourite thing about autumn?
I love how pretty everything looks, like when the trees change colour. I love how there are no more sticky hot nights and you can wrap up a bit but you still have gorgeous sunny days. I much prefer autumn/winter clothes and wrapping up and being snuggley! Oh and being able to have my hair down more - it's like wearing a thick scarf during summer so I tend to bung it up all the time.

Do you have any autumn traditions?
Since we've been together (5 years almost) we've always gone to the same fireworks display so I guess that's a tradition now?

Favourite thing to wear?
I love my scarves when the cooler weather comes along.. During colder months I'm pretty much always seen in leggings with boots, a jumper or top and cardi and a nice scarf.

Favourite scent/candle?
Aaron and I love vanilla candles.. Not too sickly though.. I have a candle at the moment, if you follow me on Instagram (@tiffanytalksx) you may have seen the video.. It's a colour changing one, I love it!

What's one thing you'll miss about summer?
I'll miss us being able to have the roof down on the car when it's really hot.. And longer amounts of daylight.. That's probably it though!

Favourite/go to autumn make up/nail polish?
I'm a neutrals girl all year round where make up is concerned (boring, I know!) but I definitely go for darker or deeper shades of polish in the cooler months.. I never seem to use my brighter colours at all. I'm pretty sure Barry M - Pomegranate will get a LOT of use.

5 items on your wishlist for autumn?
Some new boots (must be comfortable as I find so many just aren't!), new gloves, more jumpers/knitwear, a new skincare routine and some heated rollers now I won't be having my hair up all the time!

5 things you think of when you hear the word "autumn"?
Orange leaves, bonfire night, halloween, nights closing in, seeing peoples breath on a cold morning/evening.

Favourite place to be?
At home on the sofa with my soft pink throw and a mug of milky coffee with Aaron and the cats :) Or out for a nice walk, hand in hand with Aaron just chatting away about anything and everything.. It's much nicer to go for walks when it's not humid and gross!

I'd love to know, what's YOUR favourite thing about autumn? xxx

Newmarket Nights - Meatloaf

I've grown up listening to a lot of the old stuff, music wise. I love 80s and 90s music and 8 times out of 10 will choose to listen to that over current music. At the risk of sounding old... They just don't make music like they used to! Anyway, amongst other bands and artists, Meatloaf is one of my favourites. When I found out that one of his last ever tour dates was literally half an hour up the road, I knew I had to be there!

Newmarket Nights is when bands/artists play live in the evening, after the horse racing that takes place throughout the day. Horse racing doesn't appeal to us but all of the tickets for such events include the day and evening part so we were in a bit of a predicament.. After talking to Aarons uncle, turned out they knew how/where to go to watch the bands/artists for free so we went along with them and their very well behaved dog, Winnie.

Meatloaf Newmarket Nights Racecourse

We got the train so Aaron could drink and so his uncle and other half could take Winnie. It was a long walk from the train station to the racecourse but the sun was setting which was gorgeous to watch as we were walking.. We got there just in time and within minutes, Meatloaf was on stage. He was awesome! Considering how old he is now and the fact that he apparently collapsed the night before, he put on a great show and I'm so happy we got to go as we wouldn't have had another chance and I'd have regretted it. Once he'd finished, we made our way back to the train station (which I swear down nearly killed me) and headed home, via the kebab shop..

I was knackered. My whole body ached.. But it was so worth it! The next morning I Googled how far the train station is from the racecourse.. 3.5 miles EACH WAY! I cannot believe I walked 7 miles.. Considering I've always been someone that doesn't enjoy walking too. Proud moment! We have said that if/when we go to another one, we'll drive as you can park literally 2 minutes walk from where we stood. Who knows, maybe next summer when they're on again, I'll be able to drive us so Aaron can still have a drink!

If you could see anyone live, who would it be and why? xxx
