mini haul

last week i went to ipswich with my cousin/best friend, stacy (frank) and her beautiful daughter mia and had a little spend.. then got a couple more bits last weekend..
i know, i know.. i should have done this mini haul sooner but im doing it now and its my blog so nerr :)
secondly, i had a really good day.. our feet were ready to fall off at the end of it but it was so nice to have a good catch up! we used to see each other every week but we cant anymore so i always really look forward to when we can see each other. Plus i absolutely adore little mia! she's 2 this month (although you'd think she's older) and i swear i've never met a more adorable little girl.. she's so cute and funny too.

anyway, here's what i got!

frank trying things on!

i didnt realise primark went up to a size 20 til last week :O although i always think their sizes come up small so its not really like a 20 anyway in my opinion. i think if they done bigger sizes they'd make so much more money.. not that it really effects me but still.. i really liked the cardi i got, i had to size up but it looks really nice on :)

the top from new look is my favourite thing i've bought in a long time. its from the inspire range. when i saw it i was like "ooh i like that.. *checks tag* .. 24.99!!" (please note: i really do not like to spend much on clothes because its just not necessary! although if i had lots of pennies it would be a different story obviously..) frank made me try it on anyway and i only went and fell in love with it! then she made me buy it, yes, she really had force me and everything....! lol..

i've been wanting the garnier moisturiser gradual tanning stuff for a while now since reading about it on various other blogs. i fiiinally remembered to get it and im so glad i did! goodbye casper!!! i really like the smell of it and love how it gives me a natural slight tanned look and not the you've-been-tangoed look which is really awful by the way! i have never used a self tanning product before because its not really 'me' but ones like this leave your skin soft and arent drastic or anything in colour, its just right :) - oh i got the light one by the way.

i thought the earrings were really cute, i love cheap earrings and have so many - its nice to change them regular and not wear the same ones all the time. i especially liked the pink flower ones.

ive also been meaning to get a hair donut for the last 10,000 years! im so forgetful sometimes :/ i love sticking my hair up in a nice neat bun when i cant be bothered to do my hair! its so quick and easy to use after you've done it once :) and what a bargain it was! (i got the last one in the shop, yeeeaahhh boy!)

the nail polish looks so nice in the bottle and if you can apply it well, it looks nice on your nails. the brush on it is shockingly crap and its quite thick and a bit gloopy (unlike other asda polishes which are usually a bit thin and runny) also after i'd finished wiping all round my nails i noticed it started to bubble!? i've never had this with a polish before (baring in mind i have just under 100 polishes in various brands) so was pretty unimpressed with this one and probably wont wear it much at all.

i have a notice board thingy (cork backing with pins) and it was a boring wood colour.. i painted the border with an old pink nail polish i didnt use anymore but 2 coats wasnt enough and it had run out so when we popped into B&Q i wandered off and found the metallic pink paint. i loove it! i found it in with all the small sample pots/glow in the dark paint.

oooh from primark i also got like 5 bits of underwear (thongs if you really must know!) but i dont really wanna go taking pics of them for all to see! lol..

BLUSH OR BRONZERS?
i dont wear either to be honest :/ i dont even own any blush.. i do own a couple of different bronzers but i dont think ive ever used them, oopsy!

LIPGLOSS OR LIPSTICK?
both! but as i have to pick one then lipgloss. shiny shiny!

EYELINER OR MASCARA?
mascara! i dont tend to wear eyeliner much at all. 

FOUNDATION OR CONCEALER?
again i dont wear either lol.. i tend to use benefits porefessional on its own or primer then loose powder as my skin is really crappy. foundation is a big no no on me, well all the ones i've wasted money on anyway!

NEUTRAL OR COLOURED EYESHADOWS?
neutral. when i wear make up (which isnt even that often) i always go for a more natural look.

PRESSED OR LOOSE EYESHADOW?
pressed! - loose is just messayyy... it ends up all under your eyes, its just a pain in the bum.

BRUSHES OR SPONGES?
brushes, i've never used a sponge.. i wash with a sponge.. thats just weird!


NAILS :

OPI OR CHINA GLAZE?
china glaze, its more affordable.

LONG OR SHORT?
in the middle?! i dont like them too short but they annoy me when they get long lol..

ACRYLIC OR NATURAL?
natural. acrylics just ruin your nails plus i tend to pull them off after a few days cause i cant do anything with them! they're nice for extra special occasions though.

BRIGHTS OR DARKS?
neither? ive gone off all my dark and bright colours at the moment, ive been chosing more mature, toned-down colours.. i think im getting old :/

FLOWER OR NO FLOWER?
no flower.. im not massive on flowers.

BODY:

PERFUME OR BODY SPRAY?
perfume.. body spray always smells too strong for like 5 seconds (and gets in your throat) then its gone!

LOTION OR BODYBUTTER?
i dont use either and dont think i ever have?

BODY WASH OR SOAP?
body wash.. soap is too drying and feels weird!

LUSH OR OTHER BATH COMPANY?
i like the smell of lush products from a distance but going in the shop gives me a headache :/ i love the body shop but its just too expensive for my liking!


FASHION:

JEANS OR SWEATPANTS?
i dont really wear either.. i have 'sweat pants' for lazy days round the house when its cold and i have a pair of cuffed hem jeans.. other than that i mostly live in leggings but i do have other stuff too!

LONG SLEEVE OR SHORT?
depends! i mostly wear short sleeved tops with a cardi cause i dont like the top of my arms!

DRESSES OR SKIRTS?
i dont even own one skirt! i do have dresses though for going out so dresses!

STRIPES OR PLAIN?
plain i guess! not a stripe lover..

FLIP FLOPS OR SANDALS?
sandals.. they're nicer looking arent they!

SCARVES OR HATS?
scarves.. ooh i love a nice cosy scarf in winter! i dont wear hats lol.. make me hair go flat!

STUDS OR DANGLY EARRINGS?
studs :) although i do like to put some nice danglies in for a special occasion.
NECKLACES OR BRACELETS?
i never wear bracelets, they end up annoying me. i always wear a necklace though - its one aaron got me :)

HEELS OR FLATS?
flats for everything other than a special occasion.. i never wear heels for every day but only wear heels for going out/special occasion.

COWBOY BOOTS OR RIDING BOOTS?
neither lol..

JACKET OR HOODIE?
a hoodie is nice for lazy days but im gonna go with jacket. 

FOREVER 21 OR CHARLOTTE RUSSE?
never heard of either.. 

ABERCROMBIE OR HOLLISTER?
heard of them but thats about it so neither..

HAIR:

CURLY OR STRAIGHT?
straight.. it looks longer straight but i do like to do cheryl cole type curls every now and then.

BUN OR PONYTAIL?
bun. i love my hair donut for neat buns but i like messy buns too :)

BOBBY PINS OR BUTTERFLY CLIPS?
bobby pins.. whats a butterfly clip?! am i being thick.. lol.. maybe i just call it something else? 

HAIR SPRAY OR GEL?
hair spray.. i dont use gel. samy fat hair hairspray is the bestestest/strongestest hair spray i've come across so far!

LONG OR SHORT?
long!! i HATED having short hair (i had a perm years ago now that went wrong and had to have all my hair chopped off to get rid of the frizzy mess and im STILL growing it back!)

LIGHT OR DARK?
dark.. i have choc brown hair naturally but always dye it natural black so most people would probably think thats my hair colour as i've been doing it years now, i just prefer it on me.. light would not suit me at all!
SIDE SWEPT OR FULL BANGS?
side swept, deffo. i used to have a full fringe and its a pain the bum as soon as you leave the house!

UP OR DOWN?
down just cause it looks nicer.. although my hair is normally up so i dont have to straighten it.. thus, its in lovely condition :)

RANDOM:

RAIN OR SHINE?
shine.. but not toooo hot! i dont like rain, it makes my hair go frizzy and brings the mood down!

SUMMER OR WINTER?
winter! winter has wayy better clothes and i larrrve snow! i also think people look so sweet when its real cold and the tip of their nose goes red.. arrr!

FALL OR SPRING?
spring.. i like a bit of warm after the winter and the flowers out.. i dont like 'fall' cause soggy leaves are rubbish!

CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA?
vanilla as a scent but chocy if its edible!

EAST COAST OR WEST COAST?
well i dont live in america but i live in the east of england so east coast babeh! lol..

so today is monday which means its 'pintagram' day.
as i shared a pic from pinterest last monday, ill share one from my instagram today.

i took this picture myself last thursday as i was walking back from my grandparents house..

the sky looked really mean and unusual.. unusual enough for me to quickly take a few pics anyway.. then i turned around and saw THIS! is it me or does it look like a small tornado?! - above the van/house.. i only had my phone on me so couldnt get a very good pic but it freaked me out so i hurried home.

strange thing was that the next day there was a similar picture in the paper from a few days before which was also very stormy and the pic was taken from the same area on the estate. freaky!

the weather has been so weird lately.. we've had a storm every day/evening for the last few days - i dont like it!! whats the weather been doing where you are? oh and if anyone knows where the sun is, do ask it what on earth its playing at lol :) xxx
